" More that 50 harpers from France and Ireland are joining forces tonight for a very special performance as part of Riverfest. It's been organised by the Irish Harp Centre which is based in Castleconnell and caters for more than 100 harp students. Concert harpists and Celtic harpers of the Conservatoire of Music in Agen/France have travelled to take part in the concert which takes place at St Mary’s Cathedral at 8pm.
Dr Janet Harbison of the Irish Harp Centre says the concert will show the differences between the French and Irish harpists as well as the versatility of the instrument."
